We had a crazy amount of fun making this cast announcement. As a fan of reality tv, getting to drop in a bunch of easter eggs from different shows was so fun. We worked with cast photography taken in bursts and paired it with stock imagery to create this really fun cutout vibe. Chen and I tag-teamed the animation. He took a lot of the Nick/water vehicle moments. I took the maps, the text animation, and the transitions. We split up animating icons and taking full scenes for animation. Chen, Sam and I worked together to get all the cast members puppet-ed and animating. As per usual, once we had a solid 16x9 hero, we worked to create a 9x16 version that felt just as good.

"We reunited with the Netflix unscripted team to do something a little different for this Perfect Match Season 2 promo. The problem: All reality show promos look the same. Plus, we had 24 people to announce, featuring groups and singles from different Netflix shows. Solution: A graphic collage world featuring host Nick Lachey picking up singles from specific show “islands,” complete with animated easter eggs. With each pickup, Nick’s mode of transport gets a little bigger until he’s collected them all, and the entire cast arrives at Perfect Match."
